Report on Top 10 sales items

Hello.  I need a report that will list each item and total sales for "X" time by volume.

I looked everywhere.  Metrics gives you a top 10 items by sales amount for 30 days.  I want more items for more days.

    You could use the SQL views at http://victoriayudin.com/ to create a SmartList or SSRS Report.  You might have to adjust the SQL a bit but they are a great starting point.

    hi Robin,

    It looks like you have a good option to use the SQL view suggested at the link provided by Tim. You can then create a smarlist to access this.

    Another option that may work is to use the SOP Invenotry Sales Report. You can print this from Reports> sales> analysis> sop inventory sales report. You could print the report to the screen and then go into report writer using Tools> customize> modify current report. Once in the report layout, click Tools> section options and unmark the Body checkboxes. Save the report and go back into GP and grant security to the modified version at tools> setup> system> alternate/modified forms and reports.

    It will then just list a sales total per item.On the report option, you can insert a document date restriction if you wish to use a date range. You could likely sort the report by number sold in report writer as well.

    THANK YOU!  Seems like it will work. I emailed it to myself and opened with Excel.  Now I just have to

    figure out how to move the cells around so I can sort by total price.
