Standard ribbon customization won't work in unified UI?

Hi Experts,

We have customized the out of the box Task’s entity ribbon and have replaced the COMPLETE button with our custom one. We want to see a dialog before the task is completed. It works fine in the standard UI but does not work in the Unified UI. It looks like if we customize the standard Ui (Form Ribbon) it won’t work in Unified UI. Is this is true? Can we customize Form’s ribbon to work in both standard and Unified UI?

Thanks

We need to see your code, no clue about what’s going on. Also add some screenshots & details on what’s not working as expected.

Is there any specific reason you are customizing OOB button ? Why you are not creating new button and customize on it ?

There should be something internal logic which broken in Unnified interface.

Ideally there should not be any impact if you create new button and customize as per requirement. I would suggest to do that ,in addition could you please post here the details what you did to customize the button.

    Hi Yaqub,

No, there aren't any known issue in displaying custom button in Unified interface. If this is not working then it must the way you are opening the dialog (btw if you menat oob dialog then i don't think these are available in Unified Interface.

Please share teh details on how you have customized it and any JavaScript involved here.

    Hope this helps.

Our mistake; We were using java script and that java script was dependent upon a field, we forgot to add that field to the "unified form", after adding the fields it started working.
