how to resolve name/ID conflicts

I've located quite a few layer conflicts (see example below) that I need to resolve. The problem is I can't figure out how! I discovered this while trying to combine code from the BUS and BUP layers and haven't had any success getting it to work so far.

Any suggestions/best practices you can share would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't need to update any references in data (e.g. class IDs saved somewhere in database) and you just want to resolve the conflict, the easiest way is remove the conflicting elements from the higher layer and import them again (via .xpo) without IDs, so they will get new, non-conflicting IDs assigned by AX.

If you ever need to assign a specific ID, you can change it in the .xpo file and import it with IDs.

Resolving the conflicts is just the first step - then you also need to change your procedures to avoid conflicts in future.
