How do I get AX to stop overriding the margins on my SSRS report?

ReportReport

Hey all,

I've been searching the internet for the solution to an issue I am having printing a SSRS report in AX. I have double checked that the body size and margins add up to less than 11" for both my main report and the subreport it contains so that if it prints in landscape it should print on one page (and it is printing in landscape.) The body is slightly less than 10.5" wide and my margins are set to 0.25" on every side. However, when I print it, it prints with 1" margins, which goofs everything up.

I found this post: https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/p/79342/177041.aspx which suggest that I should do this:

Print destination settings - Properties - Check "override default settings"

But here's the thing--I have no idea where to find the Print destination settings, either in AX or the SSRS Report. I've tried searching the internet for that mystery and only have come up with ways to write code to do print management settings.

I would prefer not to have to write code when my RDL should be indicating the proper margins and work out of the box.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Brandt

Some additional data from messing with this all day--even though I have updated the report design so that the margins are 0.25" when I deploy the reports, the generated RDL comes back with 1" margins.

Any idea how I can prevent this from happening? If I load the Visual Studio project into VS from AX, the margins come back as correct.

Any ideas? Something isn't letting go it seems...

So, on a hunch, I renamed the folder that my project was in on my local laptop and ran the "Edit" command on the Visual Studio Project in AX to re-create the folder on my laptop. Sure enough, when I looked at the design, the margins were set to 1". Once I modified the margins in the newly created project and re-saved to the AOT, the margins were correct.

I believe this problem has something to do with TFS and caching, but I only have theories, so I am sorry to have wasted everyone's time. Carry on.
