Priviledges for ax form extensions.

Hi Guys,

Working with ax365.

i am working with 2 modules . module 1 and module2.

created form1 in module1.

creating form1 extension in module2. i.e. form1.extension.

created new tab page and grid(formgrid1) in form1.extension.

Now i want to create priviledge in module2. i.. priviledge1.

in priviledges property: form control permissions i can add "form1" instead of "form1.extension".

now in this i m creating new object i.e. grid1 .

so i cannot find my grid 1 in form1 control propertis as it is created in form1.extension.

Any sugestions.

Hi sukrut,

in privilege sub node> form control properties : should i include "form1" or "form1.extension" .

My "grid1" is in "form1.extension" form.

in build i ll get errror that test grid does not exist in form form1. ( as testgrid is created in form1.extension).

Hi Sukrut,

Yes, I tried using form1.extension . It will give me error that mentioned form does not exist.

its allowing to add formtabpagecontrol1 (tabpage) for form control permissions but not testgrid(grid).
so we can add tabpage here but in case if we want to add pivilege on individual control, like in my scenario i want test grid should be there, how it could be done.

Hi All,

I think I have the same problem too.

I have form1 and table1 originally in module1.

In module2 I created an extension for tabele1 and added field1 there as new field.

Then in a form extension I put field1 on form1 as table1_field1 also in module2.

Then I tried to create a new privilege with Form Control Permission for that field in module2.

I added form1 as New Form choosing it's name in the Name property drop down list.

Then added my new table1_field1 as New Control also with choosing it's name in the Name property drop down list (it does not list any other control just my new field)

But when I try to save the new privilege or build my solution I get an error like:

Form 'form1' does not contain control 'table1_field1'

Any idea how to solve it?
