Auto report as finished BOM journal not reversed when delivery note is cancelled

Good afternoon, I hope someone can assist me with a solution for the following:

I have an item (BOM) where the "Auto-report as finished" is selected on the Released product detail form.

When creating a sales order, a BOM journal gets posted automatically when processing the delivery note and my SOH remains 0 as expected.

The problem comes in when we cancel the delivery note,

The SOH of my BOM item increases with the quantity reversed but the BOM lines remain negative and don't get reversed.

Is there a setup or parameter that caters for this and allow for a negative BOM journal to be posted automatically when cancelling/correcting a delivery note or will a customization be the only solution?

Hi Charné,

This feature is only creating the BOM journal for outgoing items assuming it is a kind of assembly. If the customer returns the item, there is no automatic action to disassemble this. You have to create manual inventory transactions to correct this or customize AX.
