Hi can anyone please help with below issue. I searched for answers but still unable to clarify.. This is a major issue and I cant seem to get any solution...

1) We set up an appointment in Outlook, click "Set Regarding" and it then Syncs to CRM  (future appointment)

2) We then delete appointment in CRM but NOW it still remains in Outlook!!.. it also still looks to be linked in Outlook.

We are running Dynamics CRM 2011 Roll 12. Any advice would be so much appreciated..

Deleting a tracked appointment in Outlook deletes the appointment in Microsoft Dynamics CRM; and deleting a tracked appointment in Microsoft Dynamics CRM deletes the appointment in Outlook if the following is true:

    1. The appointment is current.

    2. You are the owner or organizer of the appointment record.

Can you verify if you are the owner or organizer of the appointment?

I have reproduced the issue in CRM Online organization and for me also appointment didn't get deleted from outlook after deleting from CRM however, appointment was untracked in outlook.

After researching, I found blog blogs.msdn.com/.../propagating-deletes-on-items-synched-between-microsoft-crm-and-outlook.aspx, which says appointment will remain in outlook if appointment sate is past (Scheduled start in the past in Outlook)

    Type

    Act

    State

    Result

    Appointment/   Service Appointment

    Deleted or   Cancelled in CRM

    Pending

(Scheduled Start   in the future in Outlook)

    Deleted from   Outlook

    Appointment/   Service Appointment

    Deleted in Outlook

    Pending

    (Open or Scheduled   in CRM)

Deleted from CRM   if deleted by the Owner or Organizer.

    Not deleted from   CRM otherwise.

    Appointment/ Service   Appointment

    Deleted or Cancelled in CRM

    Past

(Scheduled Start in the past   in Outlook)

    Remains in Outlook

    Regards,

    Satish
