I am auditing Dynamics 365 and I was wondering if the approval requirement for manual journal entries is inherent to D365 or if it can be disabled? If it can, where do we need to go in D365 application to enable/disable this feature?
I am relatively new to auditing and this is my first time encountering D365. Tried looking in the documentation but couldn't find a definitive answer. Many thanks.
There are two approval methods in D365, both of which are optional and dependent on configuration. The first is a simple, one step approval on the journal name. The second is a formal workflow approval whose approval steps are dictated by the workflow configuration. Neither are mandatory in D365.
Thank you! This has answered my question and led me to the documentation I was looking for.
HI,
As mentioned by Frank, there is no mandatory for approving your journal. You can disable the feature in Journal names.
Thanks,
Sheela
