Hello all,

I would like to increase my skill set to include report development in D365, both SRS and Power BI. I have access to an Azure environment and looking for some sample walk through tutorials or documentation on creating reports.  Can anyone point some out to me.

Thanks all

    Hi SergiPB,

If you are familiar with SSRS report development in AX 2012 you probably have all required skills for SSRS reports in D365O, if not please visit reporting page on technet technet.microsoft.com/.../ee873263.aspx

To lean Power BI integration and reports please visit ax wiki:

    ax.help.dynamics.com/.../how-to-create-a-powerbi-report-using-ax-data

    Hi Sergi,

There is no much difference in SSRS reports on d365 and Ax 2012. but the thing is

every time you make changes on the dataset on the report. you need to build and make it synchronized and it kill  your development time. you need to be very careful in that. hardly takes 150 minutes.

apart from that, every time, if you need to rebuild the packages, if any errors that appears on the visual studio, don't allow the UI of that webpage to execute won't happen.

If you are beginner you need very cautious, while before add/ remove any application object. that will make you to BUILD changes to happen.

apart from that, there is no much difference.

    Hi,

You can access Microsoft Dynamics Learning Portal if you have customer/partner source account access and check the courses/videos available on Reporting, PowerBI and Azure.
