Invalid user authorization for one entity CRM Online

I am running into a problem with CRM Online with just one entity. I am in the process of customizing an instance and I am a system administrator, but after making some changes to the Accounts entity I am now getting the "Invalid User Authorization" no matter how I try to access it; even if I go to the Accounts tab under sales/marketing. There have been no adjustments to the accounts permissions and I have no problem logging in or accessing any other sections.

RE: Invalid user authorization for one entity CRM Online

    Hi,
One of our users also experienced this issue.
Situation is described below (for On premise):
    - Opening a default accounts view brings an error "Invalid User Authorization" , but the user opens any account record from case entity (for example) with no error.
    Reason for the error:
    - Some days ago we have deleted some fields from account entity. While deleting these fields we also removed them from other system views and forms, but this was insufficient. These fields were present in other users personal views. They were in search criteria or in columns of these custom views. Therefore when opening one of these custom views the system returned error.
    Solution:
    - We have removed the deleted fields from personal (custom created) views' and it worked. You can open Advanced Find from the owning user (or some other user who has permission) of these custom views and under saved views make appropriate changes. Don't know why they don't automatically disappear from custom views. The deleted field remains in views with yellow warning sign.

Hope this will help in the future.

We ended up blowing everything away and started over unfortunately.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I am running into the same problem but with the Accounts entity.

I have tried that.  I also tried a completely different computer just to verify.  It is strange.  I can actually edit charts on other entities in the solution but not the opportunity entity.

I tested a chart modification with XRM Toolbox and was able to both edit and create new charts using that.  I am able to render the charts via dashboard and opportunity view pages as well as create new personal charts respectively.   I have tried removing all custom reports, disabling all business rules and workflows as well as SDK message processing steps attached to the opportunity.   Nothing has worked.

Unfortunately this error is preventing me from promoting the customizations to the production environment.  Any other suggestions?

Did you tried in IE or Edge in private mode? I often have difficulties with the cache of Chrome. It worked for that guy: community.dynamics.com/.../177947

Did you find a resolution for this?  I have the same problem.  I am on the opportunity entity. Everything works except charts. When I edit any chart the invalid authorization message is displayed instead of the chart designer.  This is also preventing me from deploying the solution to the production instance.  I have 2 other development instances on the same server. The other 2 instances do not have this issue.  This happened after upgrading from CRM 2016 to CRM 365.  If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help!

    Greetings Mustfrk!

For a quick fix try to clean your explorer cache, or open an incognito window and try to access the same part of the application.

I've just encountered this issue and that's how I solved it.
