I have a trial Business Central. I have signed up for the free Power Bi. In the old Finance and Operations for Finance Business Edition, you needed to add the URL, the authentication method, the user name and password to connect and get the data to Power BI.
With the new Business Central, it appears that these steps are all completed for you when you sign into Power Bi with your D365 tenant information. Is that correct?
My issue is when I click "get data" from the services section, it takes me to the app selection. I select Business Central - finances - then it only asks for my company name. I enter that, it says it is installing but then I get an error "We couldn't install Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Finance"
Am I missing a connecting step somewhere?
As a follow up here...it seems only the app called Dynamics 365 Business Central-Financials doesn't work. I was able to get the others working fine. (D365 BC-customer, item and sales order lists)
