Filtering between two periods of dates

Dear all,

I am balder than when I started building this view, so any help, guidance or direction would be most appreciated.

I am creating a view that pulls all the records between two dates.

Easy enough to do with specific dates. But I want to run this view on a month basis against a date field without having to specify the dates.

In essence I want CRM to give me all the records that are between 10 and 12 months ago.

When I use the last x months field and specify 10 months it gives me every record dating back to 2008. I only want the records between the above criteria I've specified.

Any help would be appreciated as I feel the comb will be of little or no use by the end of the day.

Satish

    Hi,

if I run this against contacts it gives me all contact created between 10 and 12 months ago, does it work for you?

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for responding. It's appreciated.

    Can't fault your logic.

But it still gives me 2008 (year) records.

We use the certificate date field to remind individuals that in two months time their certificate will expire and they need to rebook so that we can re-issue a new cert post training.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong?

Ian's example is correct.  I would test it out via another date field and isolate the variable.

    I will, thanks for assisting.

Doesn't solve my problem but Ian's solution should work.

    See if this helps.

Is it only 2008 or all years but with the correct month range?

Just to add... check that it is a field you can sort on. School boy error.

    HIi Satish,

    Ian's example is correct.

You can use AND or OR operator with Dates.

    Thanks
