We have been asked to create a unique view of Vendor Data and now we want to present the information in SmartList. When I open SmartList and click on New - it presents all the tables and such for all modules in the Dynamics system. What I can not find is the custom View that has been created for that database.
What am I missing>

Hi Bill,
I presume that you're using the SL Designer that's built-in to GP ?
If so, you should see your company related views at the bottom of the left "Database View" pane :
If that's not the case, maybe you should check if the custom created view was granted access to the DYNGRP role in the company..
Hope that helps
Beat, once again you come to the rescue. I would point out that it is necessary to make sure that the custom view created has the same security permissions as other views that are generated in the system. By this I mean that if the VENDORS view has prt_accountant and other Database Role permissions set, then to insure that those users who are ment to see the data in the custom view have that access, the correct Database Role permissions have also got to be set on that view.
After your direction got me to the right place it was about 1/2 hour work to make sure that the correct permissions were there, and just like it should, the view and all data was available to users in SmartList.
Thanks for your help.
