Hello,

I am interested in a very simple barcode scanning system that integrates directly with the Automated Data Collection window in Dynamics GP Manufacturing. I need to be able to accomplish three things (and these things only):

1. Allocating labour to Manufacturing Orders (i.e. employees scan at the beginning and end of working on a job)

2. Allocating inventory items to MO's

3. A Clock-in/Clock-out feature that links to Canadian Payroll

If anybody is aware of a basic software that can be customized to fit these needs, it would be greatly appreciated.

We use Time Matrix (in one of our companies) to accomplish #1 and #3. It works well.

For #2 in your list we use Accellos Collect for GP. Richard is correct, it works well. I don't think the Accellos solution handles Manufacturing Labour.

For manufacturing, your only option that works is the Accellos Collect system (formerly Max Data) It is not inexpensive, however. But it works well.
