CRM 2015 - Can you prevent unmanaged solutions from editing the default solution?

Hello all,

I was wondering, I understand the fact that solutions are essentially wrappes that only refernce the different entity components built into CRM, but is there a way to make edits to entities included in an unmanaged solution without affecting the underlying default solution?

For example, if I edit a form of an account in the unmanaged solution, those changes carry over to the default solution as the unmanaged solutions only references it.

I'd like to start keeping the default solution as 'default' as possible (some changes have been made, but dont want further chanes to propigate into it incase we want to change functionality back).

If anyone has any information on this it be much appreciated!

I guess that answers that, I was hoping there would be a way to keep the default solution clean. Thanks for the reply!
