Hello.
Having a strange situation with Payment proposal. When Payment file is created its missing ISO country from the XML file. After investigation found the bank address is not accessible the user even though the address is visible with sys adm access. After adding the Bank address, the payment file is created correctly with ISO country.
Looks like some kind of security at field level. Does anyone came across similar issue?
Yes, this is a security issue, you need to give the role which can access to bank address form view only,
Hi Kamm,
When the address is visible for the system administrator, but not the business user, then it is indeed related to security. Can you tell if this user has a custom role or standard role assigned? What are the contents of the role? Is there any security object with deny permissions for the Addresses table?
yes, Treasurer role should give access to the address. The role is assigned, but the address is still showing as blank.
User has been assigned to a standard role, including Treasurer. This should give a privilege for maintaining bank accounts.
Hi Khalid, I tried replicating your issue and assigned only Treasurer role to a user. I can see the address. Apart from Treasurer, are there any other roles assigned? If not, then can you check if permission is denied to read postal address.
Do you get this error while opening a bank account 'You are not authorized to access table ‘Addresses’ (LogisticsPostalAddress). Contact your system administrator.'
Hi Mohit. Thank you for your analysis. I reviewed the setup and its the same as per your screenshot. Looks like the issue could be due to AosAuthorization in the AOT. Will try and find out more about it.
Hi Khalid,
Recently, I created a blog post and provided a list with all tables and fields part of the Table Permissions Framework (AosAuthorization).
Address tables or fields are not included. It is also not possible to change this using an extension. See also my blog: Securing a menu item is not enough - table permissions - Dynamicspedia
I think there should be another culprit. Did you already check for deny permissions like mentioned before?
Hi Andre. The permissions are correct and the Treasurer role give access to reading the bank address. Thank you. Read your blog, very helpful. Thank you
