Hi there,
We have a requirement where we needed to auto update the start date of a project task based on other Project's finish date. We were able to achieve this functionality using Schedule APIs. While developing this, i realized that there is a limit on open operation sets for user.
Does anybody know how to close an oprationset as it completed the execution?
Thanks,
Venu
Hi,
I tried to change the maximum number of OperationSets, but it can't be changed.
This official documentation clearly states this Limitation:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/project-operations/project-management/schedule-api-preview#limitations-and-known-issues
The official document does not provide a method to close the OperationSet, please test whether it can be closed automatically after all operations are performed.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Frank Gong
Moving this to ProjOps forum.
Vallamreddy VenuGopal, , excess OperationsSets can be abandoned by calling the msdyn_AbandonOperationSetV1 action. There's also a recurring could flow Project Service Core - Abandon Open Operation Sets that does this on a recurring schedule. Normally all you need to do is execute an operation set with msdyn_ExecuteOperationSetV1. See here for more info:
