#Sorry for the poor English

Hello Everyone.

Please tell me about "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View".

What I want to know:
1.
"Write-In Product" and "Exsiting Product" are displayed in "Produc Name".
How are you displaying it?

2.
Can I make VIEW just like "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View" using only GUI.

Confirmed:
I saved "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View" as "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View2".
And downloaded the solution and checked customizations.xml.
But I could not understand why it was displayed.

Thanks.

    Hi,

    1. From an  "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View", you can add either existing products or you can create the custom line items. If you select 'Existing' it will pull the list of existing products from the opportunity price list. If you select 'Write In' then it allows you type in the some custom name.

    2. This is a special view in CRM which cannot be customized/ changed.

I hope this answer your questions. If this answer your questions, please mark it as helpful/ verified

    Hi,

I have a problem like you.

Product Name field seems like a special field.

1."Product Name" field is used as  a col in  "Opportunity Product Inline Edit View". but can't be seen in "opportunity product" entity fields.

2.when i  check it(product name) in "opportunity product" form ,it seems a link to "Write-In Product" field or "Exsiting Product" field.

(cause when i choose "Write-In Product" the  value of "opportunity product" name is display in  "Write-In Product" field ,when i choose "Exsiting Product" the value of "opportunity product" name is display in  "Exsiting Product" field)

I don' t know how this field(Product Name field) work too.

    sorry ~

    does anyone has any ideas.

    Hi,

It's not a problem, this is how CRM works. While adding a product, it ask you to choose either 'WriteIn' or 'Existing'.  Depending  upon your selection, it sets the value in the fields.

Now, when you open the form, you will see 3 fields 'Select Product', 'Write-In Product' & 'Existing Product'.

If while adding you selected 'Write In' then 'Select Product will set to 'Write In' and name of the custom product will be set to 'Write In product'. Also as this is a 'Write In' Product, the value in the 'Existing product' field will be blank

If while adding you selected 'Existing' then 'Select Product will set to 'Existing' and this as is a 'Existing' Product, the value in the 'Existing product' field will be set the  Product you have selected. Also in this case 'Write In Product' field would be blank

Now, within the the subgrid, under 'Product Name' it displays 'Write In Product' value if you have added as 'Write In' Product otherwise it displays the 'Product' if you have added as Existing Product.

    Hope this helps.
