1099 Business Central Questions

We are planning our first 1099 run in Business Central.  That said, I'm following a Microsoft Learn 1099 document (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/localfunctionality/unitedstates/set-up-use-irs1099-form) and had a few questions:
 
01)  Is there a BC 1099 update for 2023?  Online references show the last update as 2022. 
 
02)  What are the ramifications of running /Update Form Boxes/ for 2023?  We will be running 1099s in 2024 for the 2023 year.
 
03)  Vendors that have been setup properly are displaying 1099 amounts in both the 1099 information report and forms, that said:
       A)  How do we edit amounts?
       B)  Online instructions say we can edit the vendor ledger entries but in testing the 1099 box in our cases appears to be greyed out. 
       C)  This is still after marking the default box under the vendor
 
04)  Will BC be printing the lines for the 1099 forms in 2023 or do we still need to purchase forms.  
 
Please advise.  Look forward to a response.
