Partial ledger settlement in D365?

Hello community,

I have a question to ledger settlement:
is there some possibility to make partial ledger settlement in D365?
I mean such a case: e.g. we have a credit transaction of 100 USD, and debit transactions of 20 and 70 USD. In balance  we should have then residual 10 USD.

Currently I can settle only transactions, if their sum is 0.

Thank you!

    Hi Jule,

Thanks for your reply. There is indeed a bug on the forum where some users can't mark the replies. The team is not able to reproduce it themselves. Would you mind to help out and perform the next tasks?
    • go to the forum thread page where the issue occurs -> scroll to the checkbox to be recorded
    • right-click -> inspect (or F12) -> open developer window to maximum
    • click the network tab -> on the dropdown menu next to 'invert', select 'XHR and Fetch'
    • next to the red circle on left side, click the black circle with line through it - this clears the log file
    • click the 'does this answer your question' checkbox - the network calls populate in the tool
    • then click the down arrow in the middle of the browser dev tool to download the .har file
    • attach the .har file to an email and send to DTPDynCommManagers at microsoft dot com or dlcommed at microsoft dot com

Hello Ramit, thank you for the link!
This is exactly, what we would need. I hope, Microsoft will implement this feature.

I think, there is still  a bug, because I cannot mark the reply as a suggested answer.
I will try later to do it once more.

    Hi,

Partial settlement is right now as planned, this is likely to be available from 2024 wave 2 plan.

    Hi JuleWergne,

You can mark the transaction between them, but if the sum is not 0, you cannot settle.
It's normal, because for the accounting: settlement means perfect matching between debit and credit.

Maybe if you give us the business requirement beyond this request we can propose a better solution.

    Thank you,
    Giorgio
