S and G data are, for the moment, to be ingested into Fabric with the Sustainability Data Solutions.

E data is to be ingested/processed via Sustainability Manager.

SDS can import the E data into the ESG data lake. What is it's additional value?

What is SDS adding that is not available via MSM?

SDSF because it is built on the Industry Data Model (IDM) has a much more broad and detailed data model then MSM does. This allows you to provide further more detailed definition of your sustainability data that is more industry specific, be it manufacturing details, mining, or whatever specific industry data you had than what your get with the MSM data model by default. IDM being a model that is cross industry and has specific industry depth can provide you with more detailed insights using data across systems and create insights in a unified data location. SDSF being on the Fabric platform also provides the ability to write your own big data operations with a data engineer persona whereas MSM is more focused on a business user persona with pre-made operations.
