3124.sss.PNGHello Hello

I cannot post this count because of this part number. We physically have 6 and I cannot get this to get the S/L off because it thinks it has 14?? How i can fix this?

The first thing to try is Tools->Utilities->Inventory->Reconcile. If that does not correct the issue open a case and they will provide a script to expose inventory records so you can look for what is causing this discrepancy.

The Stock Count Entry window is complaining because you have 14 in the captured quantity, but 0 in the Counted Qty field and your lots don't match.

You'll need to get to the bottom of where the discrepancy is first.

Check out the inventory receipts and lot inquiry for that item number -- to see if you can find where the other 8 came from. Unfortunately, I have a feeling you're not going to find anything.

The simplest way to fix this is to save your stock count, make a backup (always!), run inventory reconcile ON JUST THAT ITEM NUMBER to see if it fixes the on hand quantity. If it does, then go back to your stock count. You'll see the on hand quantity will have been changed (to 6 hopefully). Enter 6 in the counted qty field and zero out the variance of (8).

    Then check verified again.

If reconcile doesn't do anything, then you have to start playing with the quantities in the inventory and stock count tables.

See if that works and let me know!

    Thank you.

Glad this worked within the GP interface.

FYI ... There is a blog post with some SQL information in case you run into another issue that is trickier.  (We recently had to following this for one of our clients on GP 2016.)
