We are implementing MS Dynamics 365. My CFO wants to keep old COA structure and wont like new numbering or renaming some account names. 1). What are the pros and cons of keeping old account structure. 2). Is there a mapping tool in the system that will translate old codes to the new one

Hi,

There is no as such rules to have new number sequence in d365, you can keep your own numbering in d365

Hi,

You can use some work arounds.

You can use Main account categories for that purpose or use consolidation account and report from consolidation company.

Do you know if there is a mapping facility to map old account structure to the new one in MS Dynamics 365 where we can still use old account numbering and that maps to the new numbering
