Hi there
I have over 10 years of exp in .net, asp.net, C#, ssrs , sql server and ssis.I have received two jobs one wants to give me training on Dynamics AX and another one wants to train me in Dynamics CRM( I guess there are not able to find dynamics developers:)), The pay is more or less same. With my background what would be better . I do not know much about any above the two technologies.I do want to use my current skills. Does any of the two require .net knowledge?

I have the same question (0)Hi,
There are differences between AX and CRM, functionally and technically. I would suggest to ask the companies to have a look together with a developer what the challenges will be for you.
Both products are using .net technology. Where and how it is different. Currently CRM is more browser oriented as client compared to AX, but that might change in future. I think at this moment CRM will have more focus on your current skills. AX has an own programming language called X++. This is used within methods. But when you build .net components for AX you can also use C#. Ask the the company with AX how much .NET oriented they are or want to be in the near future.
