Sometimes, mailboxes became disabled:

Email Server Error Code: ErrorItemNotFound

A general mailbox access error occurred while receiving emai

Trace results:

<q1:MessageText>The specified object was not found in the store.</q1:MessageText><q1:ResponseCode>ErrorItemNotFound</q1:ResponseCode

 

Microsoft troubleshooting the case for 32 month without any result!

Google does't help as well

    Hi Andrew,

    For this kind of error I recommend you to check the configuration of Server Side Synch, so the possible cause is incorrect email selected process method:

    Have you reviewed this possible solution:

    1. Navigated to Settings > Email Configuration > Under Emails tab, verified Email Method was selected Email Router > We changed it to SSS > saved changes.

    2. Test and Enabled Mailbox again. It took time again however got successful for incoming and outgoing.

    It was set to SSS initialy. And it is working, but periodically generates an error and disabling mailboxes and my users are tired to receive test emails once I reenable it.
