Tracking Email to a Quote not possible

Hi everyone, 

we are facing the issue that some users are not able to upload Emails (via the Outlook Addin) to Quotes anymore. Any other entity like lead or opportunity works just fine. There is usually no error message appearing in the Outlook App, it just takes forever and in the end says "Tracked" instead of "Tracked regarding" and the Email is nowhere to be found in the CRM. 

The weird thing is that two users who are members of the same business unit and have the same security roles don't necessarily have the same troubles. One can track the email fine, the other one can't. 

I thought it might have something to do with the append to and append security role (even though it doesn't matter if the user is the owner of the quote or not), so I switched it to "Organisation" on Quote. 

But still no change. 

Can anyone think of something else I could check or what the problem might be?
