I recently observed that the pull down menu on object property of a menu item of class type does not include all class objects.
For instance, purchFormLetter and SalesFormLetter are missing.
what should I do?

What you should do depends on what you want to achieve.
Would you like to see all classes there? Why?
You can only launch classes that have Main method so you can only choose from those.
Do you have some business requirement that you are struggling with?
PurchFormLetter and SalesFormLetter are two classes used in purchase and sales order posting. Both have a main method. They are part of purchase and sales module.
It is not a customisation and I found it strange it is not in the pull down menu.
Action menu item, purchformletter_packingslip has the object set to purchformletter class. Now if I place the cursor in the object field, it defaults to the first class available as purchformletter is not in the list.
What if you just type in the class name?
Also, does your package have reference to the package where PurchFormLetter class is defined? If not, your objects can't see it.
Yes. I could type it in. But I thought it was in the list before.
Great if you can see if it is in your installation. Not just these two classes. Some other classes as well. I wonder if it is corrupted.
And can I rebuild this pull down menu list?
Purchformletter is a class and it is in the AOT. I can compile it.
Most likely just a cosmetic glitch / bug in dev tools. You can install latest PU and see if it helps. And create a support case for MS if it doesn't.
