Hi,
I would like to change the currency code for multiple bank accounts that I have. I was told that, as there are figures in the bank accounts, I can't simply change the currency code on the spot, I need to export them to change it.
Can advise whether this is true and how to do it?

You cannot update currency code if you have a balance, if you update manually a field and if you get an error it means it is not possible and the same rule applies when you use RapidStart.

No, I think you should not be able to change the "Currency Code" of a bank for which you already posted entries and have a balance or open Bank Accoutn Ledger Entries.
This should not be possible in BC directly and also not using RapidStart.
How would you want BC to re-calculate the balance in old currency into the correct balance in the new currency?
You first need to close down the balance and the entries.

Yes, you can use Rapid Start to export the data and update them, and then re-import. You can check for example here
