User profile got cleaned after we changed the Authentication from ACL to NUP

For one of our client we changed the authentication in NAV and now a user reported that his profile is not the same as it was before as all the settings have changed like all page filters are not there. 
 
1. Is this because of the authentication change?
2. Is there a way to bring back the old profile?
