Business Document customization - Sales order packing slip

Hello all,

I want to customize the sales order packing document by using the Excel business documents.

In the LCS asset library, I can find the Sales order packing slip (Excel).version.27.27. But it is not enough.

In the repository of my MSDyn365FO provider I’ve got a <missing configuration> because I have not imported the sales order packing slip version and mapping.version.

I’m not able to find any in the available list. Is there some component missing or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Yohann,

Have you also the waybill model imported?

The SO packing slip 'hangs' under this waybill model and I guess that you need to import this waybill model first before you should import the SO packing slip.

In my case the import worked even though I got a warning.

Do you see the SO packing slip Excel model in your ER workspace?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I managed to do it. The thing is to search by CTRL+F and looking for the same version (in here 27) and find one model fitting. In here waybill works fine but I couldn't guess.

Many thanks Ludwig for the tips.

Still wondering few question on this new functionality :

    - do we need to open Excel each time to see the report or can it be prompted automatically (or directly send to a printer)?

    - is it possible to setup the default printing policy in the AR module : Form setup > Print management ? I haven't succeed so far.

I will have a look on a video you did release last month if I can get some answers !

    Hi Yohann,

    For your 1st question:

As far as I remember a 'printer' output option is on the roadmap. Would expect this soon; probably already with the wave 1 release 2020 in April.

    For your 2nd question:

To my knowledge the print management defaults don't work. I also tried that a couple of times but I think it is because electronic reporting has their own output destination form, the standard print management default, such as emails, printers, etc. don't work. At least not at the moment

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
