Management Reporter 2012-linking calculated columns with excel

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

The query will fail when I link to excel file with 2 columns being "CALC" columns. It runs fine when I eliminate the tie-in from excel with the "CALC" columns.

Is there something I need to add to the COLUMN definition?

Here is a link to an article..Here’s the article I found –

    office.microsoft.com/.../link-to-spreadsheet-files-in-management-reporter-report-designer-HA010352541.aspx

Note    The report columns that accept data from an Excel file are the columns that are identified in the column definition as FD or WKS. If you reference an Excel worksheet cell in a CALC, DESC, or FILL column, the value is ignored.

Discovered the same thing myself today.  Unsure if its "by design" or a "bug".
