2011Fp1 : Unable to load any data in additional Quick Query for non SYSADMIN userID

Hi experts,

A'm using 2011FP1 , client installed.

I'm able to preview all additional QQ and standard QQ if login by using SYSADMIN

But it failed retrieved any data (blank result) without error for additional QQ if login with non SYSADMIN user ID. For a standard QQ, the data is normally previewed.

For this non sysadmin user :

- I already apply the QQ in the Menu Maintenance for that user's Group

- add additional QQ screen ID and QQVIE00 into Access Right Maintenance line (with Delete access).

I've applied hotfix 25206SY already, but still no result.

Do I miss any step ? Please advise. Thanks a lot...

I sounds like the user has been added to the group that the filtered quick query is for and rights have been assigned within SL to that screen. I think that the user might be lacking permission within SQL. Try the following, make a backup of the System and Application Databases. Log into Database Maintenance and run the Synchronize All Ownership and Security. Once complete have the user try the filtered quick query once again.

If that does not work you may want to get a SQL trace of the user getting the blank quick query. I have copied the link to download the template for SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2. Please select the template that matches your SQL Server version. If you are running SQL Server 2012 there is currently no KB article that provides this template.

Download and import the template into SQL Profiler and have the user recreate the blank Quick Query while the trace is running. Once recreated stop the trace and see if you can spot any errors.
