PO Workflow error

Posted on by 765

Hi,

I created a PO and sent for approval with 1 line item.

The order followed the workflow and got approved

again we added another line item in the PO and sent for approval.

When we tried to approve, the system shows the below error

Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Work item could not be created. Insufficient rights for user XXX2.
 at SysWorkflowWorkItem-create
SysWorkflowWorkItem-createWorkItems
SysWorkflow-save
SysWorkflowQueue-resume

Please explain the reason and the solution for the same

    RE: PO Workflow error

    Hi,

The error was showing the user was not assigned / not have the permission...

I did the following activity in the workflow and found working

    a. Made the active version workflow inactive

b.checked the user assignment and other properties

    c. Made the version again active

    d. Opened the Purchase order screen and refreshed

    e. selected the Purchase order and did the approval process

    Now the issue been closed

    Regards

    Hi Sriram GS,

Do you see the same issue if you execute the process in a different system (e.g. test/dev)?

If you can replicate the problem then I would suggest having a look at LCS and double checking that you did not run into a bug.

There are a couple of them listed there but it depends on your system version whether they might apply or not.

You can possibly check that already yourself through the next link

    RE: PO Workflow error

    Hi,

The same user already approved the order with one line item.

The error appeared after adding another line item in the PO and sent for approval .

if the user role definition was not done correctly , the error would have triggered in first approval itself.

i don't know why it appeared for the second approval

    Regards

    Hi Sriram,

can you please check the roles assigned to user XXX2. Or just for checking grant system admin role to user XXX2 and resume the workflow.

If it is working then you have to find what roles or privileges are missing. And grant that to user XXX2.

    RE: PO Workflow error

    Good morning Sriram GS,

The error message says 'insufficient rights for user XXX2'.

Is it possible that you check the roles and user right assigned to this user and change them or alternatively route the workflow to an employee with more rights in AX?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
