SQL Server Timeout Expired When Deleting Entity Field

When our developers try to delete an Field from an entity in both our Staging and Production environments we receive a SQL Server Timeout expired error which contains the following:

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: System.Web.HttpUnhandledException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #489D1DEADetail:

    The next idea is to turn on trace - support.microsoft.com/.../how-to-enable-tracing-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm restart IIS, reproduce an error and check logs. If this will not give an answer I'm afraid you will have to get in touch with Microsoft Support and open a ticket.

    Thanks for that link, I hadn't came across that article before.  The OLEDBTimeoutKey already existed and was set to 300 (5 minutes).  I set it to 600 and still didn't make any difference.  The strange thing is that when I click delete the progress bar immediately goes to about 75% and then just sits there.

    Increase SQL Timeout - blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-timeout-settings - the first one is yours, restart IIS and ask your colleges to delete field again.
