Hello Experts,

Greetings.

We have to many customers which are exporting D365 fins and ops data into BYOD server and BYOD database is providing data to tools - POWER BI, SSRS and other third party tools like Tableau . Also customer has created few store procedures in BYOD database which they are exporting in EXCEL.

Now we are planning to move from BYOD (RDBMS) to Azure Data Lake (Big data) .

Will customer get all the existing benefits of BYOD ? how i will connect Azure Data lake to SSRS ? How i will join 2 or more datasources ?

I am following but am not able to visualize the capabilities of data lake it properly.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/configure-export-data-lake

I have the same question (0)

In addition to info shared above by Rahul, from D365 perspective its all about how the data will be moved and what additional tools you will get so the videos are good and complement the docs at docs.microsoft.com/.../azure-data-lake-overview.

However it also presumes you know what an Azure data Lake is and how you can make the most out of it. For that you need to read the Azure doc at docs.microsoft.com/.../data-lake-storage-introduction

You should be able to do all you are doing today but there could be different ways. We would be able to create a DB on Azure Synapse and that would have data from ADLS and Azure Synapse(on demand SQL) would work like sql.
