Dear Group Members,

I am new to dynamics 365 and wanted to configure on premise model for dynamics 365 for Financials. I have a team of around 20 people with me who wanted to learn dynamics 365. We tried 30 days free trial but that was not sufficient as few team member are working on development part. Can anyone help me on licensing part? I am bit confused like how many licenses we need for Azure when we are going on premise model or we don't need Azure at all. Please help.

Hello,

There is no On-premise option for Dynamics 365 for Financials. This is only available for Dynamics 365 for Operations.

You can deploy Dynamics NAV On-Premise, which is similar.

In that case what are the options for students to learn? 30 days trial gives not much benefit.

Hi Muksha,

The 30 day trial is for a "production" company that you create within a tenant. If you wish to train students, I suggest using the evaluation / demonstration company in Dynamics 365 for Financials (called "CRONUS USA, Inc.") which will not expire.

The CRONUS company contains demonstration data as well, which would come in handy when you wish to train students on processes and transactions.
