Android Mobile App Login Troubleshooting

Posted on by 333

Having problems connecting (post login screen) to CRM online.  Here's what we've done:

1. Installed Dynamics CRM app from Google Play

2. Click app icon and entered the company CRM web address

3. Click go to proceed to windows live login screen.

4. Enter our user name and password and click go

ISSUE - screen clears and after a few minutes returns to login screen.  No error message indicated.   Thoughts on what might be happening?

Of course everything works fine in the mobile browser.

Michael

    Similar problem here.

Problem only occurs on Android app. Mobile browser works fine. IOS app also works fine.

We already followed the suggestion found here: msdynamicscrmblog.wordpress.com/.../tablets-and-phones-limitations-and-known-issues-in-dynamics-crm-2013

"CRM for tablets users are repeatedly prompted for sign-in credentials and can’t sign in: Users who try to sign in to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013 (on-premises) configured for Internet-facing deployment (IFD) using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for tablets are repeatedly prompted for credentials and can’t sign in. This issue occurs when the server running IIS where the CRM web application is installed has Negotiate and NTLM Windows authentication providers enabled on certain CRM website features. To resolve the issue, run a Repair of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server on the server running IIS where the Web Application Server role is installed. To run this the CRM deployment must already be configured for claims-based authentication and IFD."

Problem still occurs after repair of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server.

    Any other hints?

    Thanks Shahid,

Can see the URL from the browser.   And already (before making this post) check out both links you've posted.

Still no connection after login prompt.

    Other ideas?

    Hello Michael,

Can you access CRM on the Android phone in the browser using this URL  https://<CRMURL>/m?

I would suggest taking a look at www.microsoft.com/.../crm-for-phones-set-up-and-use.aspx and www.microsoft.com/.../known-issues-for-crm-for-tablets-and-phones.aspx
