Option set selecting wrong value

What would be the reason for the value I select in my option set to change to a different value within the same option set immediately after making my selection. In other words my option set has three values (red, blue, and green) I select red and immediately upon making this select the option set will choose blue instead.

Hi partner,

It seems that there are business rules or Javascript running on this form.

So check to see if there are business rules or Javascript, and if so, disable them.

Just check the OnChange event.

Hi,

There can be two possible reasons for what you are facing:

1. You may have a business rule for changing the value of option set.

To check if you have a business rule, follow these steps -

Open form editor of that Entity and click on Business Rules. In Business Rules Explorer you can see your business rule. For Example, here “Set Color” is my business rule name.

2. May be on change of option set field, there might be a custom JavaScript code to set the option set value.

To see if you have JavaScript library in “On Change” event of option set field follow below steps -

Open form editor of that Entity and choose your field. Click on Change Properties for this field. For instance, my field is “Choose Color” as can be seen below.

Field Properties window will open. Here, select “Events” tab. In this tab, check whether there is any custom JavaScript library in the box as highlighted below.

Thanks for the replies. you all were correct, the problem was in the JS file associated on the form. I found the Option set and compared the values to the option used on the form and found they did not match at all. I corrected this and did some testing, problem resolved.
