I need your assistance with an issue I'm currently facing. I have a purchase order, but I need to issue a credit note due to a price change, without affecting the quantities. I only want the cost in the inventory to be adjusted. Could you suggest the best approach to handle this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I suggesting adding two new lines to the PO.

The first should have a negative quantity, and the incorrect price (in effect this is the credit).
The second should have a positive quantity and the correct price.

Processing the negative line will remove the quantities from on-hand; processing the second line will bring the stock back in.

You can use inventory marking to ensure that the cost of the original PO line is marked to the negative quantity line.
