I want to production multi color products by one production order

Hi all,

I want create a production order.
The inventcolor dimension is activated in my itemid.
I want to production multi color products by one production order .
How it is make?

    thank for interesting.

    I want one itemid. but by-product and co-product are different itemid.

    I solved this problem that;  I put the width data(200 mm, 300 mm etc..) in to batch number (inventbatch).

    Another solutions are very difficult and expensive for us..

    I wish "the tracking dimensions in the standart solution"  had more than two .. (especially  size etc..)

    A possible solution would be to create a new item with the production type as planning item.

    In the formula lines you would have the 2000mm width roll to be consumed.

    Then, in the by-products you would have the 5 different roll sizes.

    This way, when you require a roll of 300mm width you would create a production order for the planning item.

    The 2000mm roll would get consumed and you would output the 5 different sizes including the required 300mm roll.

    Nonwoven interlining cutting operation

    Before cutting roll's width is 2000 mm.

    After cutting;   Five rolls products.

    width: 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm, 600 mm, 200 mm.

    And the same concept as I suggested for color can be done for other inventory dimensions as well like size, configurasjon, warehouse, location, serial, batch and so on.

    Does your production order actually yield different colors and sizes?

    Can I ask what business case this is for?

    Actualy one problem is not this(inventcolor).

    Other product dimensions have same problem too. (especially size dimension)

    I think, it is very weakness about production.

    That is not really possible... There is a way around it, but it will only be for a set receipt cost price. If you use FIFO, the item on the production order is the one that will carry the cost.

    Now to achieve this, you create a production order for one color and then simply post picking journals with negative quantities for the additional colors.

    Not a very pretty solution, but it does work... Kind of...

    Best is to always create a single production order for each color.
