Owner of process sessions

Hi all,

I have a question about owner of process sessions.

We have a process which owner is a service account. We made some changes and deploy this process to Prod using another account, but the owner of process is still the same service account.

However, after the deployment, the process session owner became the account we used for deployment, not the process owner anymore. If we reassign the process again, it will fix the issue.

Is that designed to be that or it is a D365 bug? This logic does not make sense to me.

    Hi Kevin,

This is by-design behavior. The owner of a process is replaced with whatever user you are importing the solution. In order to make sure process owners are correct after importing a solution, we need to reassign the records.

    Many thanks,

    Ran
