GPS DOS to GP migration

We have a potential new customer that is on GPS DOS. The company has been bought out and the new owners started fresh with two new companies in GPS on 8/1/14 since the accounting staff did not change. Now they are looking at becoming current with GP. The GPS DOS is btrieve based. We are looking for a way to get their data out of GPS and then into GP. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bill

    hi,

    follow www.nomad.ee/.../index.html

I believe I have the old GPA DOS to GP migration kit. They need to be on GPA DOS 9.5. Let me know if you need help with this. My guess is it would take a full day to accomplish this as I have not fired up GPA DOS in years. Is this running on an old Novell or Windows NT server or was it just loaded locally?

Thanks Jonathan and Richard for your replies.

Since they only have data from 8/1/14 forward, I think they are just going to print to a file if they can and then import the info with Integration Manager.

The migration/upgrade route would be a one option however it would involve the migration as well as upgrading from GP9 to GP2010 to GP2013 or 2015. Plus a couple of SQL Server installs.

I believe their GPS is running in a VM on a Red Hat Linux box. No idea why.

    Thanks,

    Bill
