Hi, we are working with a customer who has a Dynamics 365 On Premise instance. This customer wants to integrate the CRM with its Exchange Online subscription. I successful finished the procedure described by Microsoft here https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt703269.aspx but when we try to test the connection from the E-mail Server profile, the steps always times out. The image in this post shows the screen we are seeing.
I am pretty sure the CRM Server has access to the Internet. I have not found where to find any log in order to troubleshoot this so as always, I would appreciate your valuable advise.

At the end, this was solved installing the wildcard certificate used by the IFD/ADFS configuration on the server where the Async role is running. After that, be sure to allow the service account for the Async role permissions to read the certificate key. Restart the service.
