Microsoft Dynamics RMS (Archived)

Error: SQL version must be 2005 or higher.

Hi,

We hit our 4gb limit today running SQL express 2005. I successfully upgraded SQL to 2008 R2 express and upgraded the database without problems, until we went to use the POS program. While the administrator and manager programs have no issues, we get an error that states that we SQL version must be 2005 or higher whenever we try to run the POS program. We have only one till in our store and rely on it fairly heavily, so this presents a significant problem. Is it an issue of a setting that is not allowing the POS program to properly connect to the database, or is there a deeper issue?

    I forgot to mention that we are running RMS 2.0 with SP4 and FP2 installed.

    I found the source of the issue. It turns out that the login info for 2 of the third party addons we have was not correct, causing them to fail and in turn causing the errors. After updating the server login information, the error went away and everything works again.
