Problems with regions

When trying to create a D365 environment in the UK region, the error I get is

Currently, Dynamics 365 apps can only be enabled for your default region. Request ID: a88035ff-e967-4a24-89dc-a8b4e394422b.

So what makes Europe our default region? There is a Default environment in the UK region, but it doesn’t have D365 in it.

Installing Dynamics 365 apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Customer Service is only supported on environments that have been created with a database with the option to Enable Dynamics 365 apps set to Yes. Try installing this application in an environment with a database and Enable Dynamics 365 apps enabled on it.

I can also create an environment in the UK region with a database, but not for D365 (see test environment). When I then try to install D365 into the UK Test environment, I get the same error

I’d like to be able to have a D365 environment in the UK region for when we go live as I’d expect the UK region to offer better performance than Europe.

    Hey!

The default environment is created whenever a valid dataverse license exist on the tenant: PowerApps, Dynamics but also Office 365 E3, E5, Project.  You can't deploy Dynamics app into this environment.

There might be a couple reasons why this is happening:

    - You don't have a Dynamics license.  Therefore, can't provision with Dynamics Apps.

    - If you purchased the licenses some years ago (2018/2019 for example) before the creation of UK region, then the tenant was flagged as "EMEA".

You can also use Power Platform Admin Center to open a support request to Microsoft asking for clarification on this.

It's sounding like I might need them to change something on my tenant.  Thanks for your help, I'll have a chat with Microsoft.
