Contract to design SQL Update Scripts to fix Inventory IV00108 table values

Posted on by 22,647

We are trying to do an update of the IV00108 table - specifically the UOMPRICE field.  What is needed is the client has over 18,000 records and over 8 different currencies, which makes for some where over 126,000 field updates.  The client wants to update only 1 of the PRICE LEVEL records - specifically 'B-Build' to a different % of List Discount.  At the present time the value of B-Build (PRCLEVEL) field is set to 80.0000 and it needs to be changed based on different Item Class values.

I have designed a simple script that looks at the value of the UOMPRICE in the IV00108 table.  So then I took that and generated a simple update script to do it one option at a time.  The challenge is that I get different values when I run the "select" statement and when I run the "update" statement.

I would like to have a discussion with someone that would be able to complete this update in very short order as the client needs this update done immediately.  I can provide much more detail when we have connected and can start working on this project.

Client has closed this project and we are now doing an internal development - thought I would close this note as well.

Can you share your SQL script? also give some example for your requirement?

    Hi Bill,

    Thanks for your question.

With your SELECT and UPDATE statement in the IV00108 table, you would want to be mindful of the PRCLEVEL column. As you can have multiple lines depending on the number of UOFM lines you have added on.

Can you provide more details on what you have so far?

    Thanks
