    Hi MAM@msn,

Maybe downgrading the d365FO feature is an option for you?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Good morning MAM@msn,

Have you made a progress with this validation issue?

In addition to what has already been shared, I would like to ask you having a look at the counting journal functionalities that are available in D365FO.

In this version you can attach a specific workflow to counting journals.

That is not available in AX2012.

Yet, a developer could have a look and possibly 'downgrade' this feature.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Good morning MAM@msn,

I was referring to this functionality that allows defining the users who can make use of this journal.

That's a standard feature and does not need any specific role setup or modification.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi MM,

You can create a (new role or an existing role) and assign the privileges' section in the class/Inventjournalcheckpost and assign the role to the user.

I found the Privileges and Duty names to post Counting Journal:

Privilege to create new counting journal: Process item journals

Privilege to post counting journal: Post counting journal | Duty name: Approve physical inventory counting

I dont have AX 2012 environment but so i took the below screen print from D365 FO just for your reference: Please note "Post counting journal" is not associated with any Role, I dont know the technical reason but i am sure, there will be a systematic logic.

I am not sure, but I guess it should not be that compicated

There is no direct role or duty for Posting counting journal

As administrator I can see the post button

In have 2 users one creating the counting journal 2nd one is posting this journal
