Dynamics 365 - Business Rule Behaviour - Set Field Value not working

Hi all,

I have setup the following Business Rule:

This works fine, however if I add an action to my first condition (check) 'Set Field Value' the field does not become visible when Subscription 1 is checked.

Additional Notes:
Subscriber 1 field is linked to User

It does work if I set hard code the Value as follows

What I want to achieve is to automatically populate the Subscriber 1 field with the User that is modifying the case.

Any help is greatly appreciated

1. It should not be Modified By field as this field will only be updated when the case is saved.

2. If you still want to use Modified By, then make sure the Modified By field is added on the form.

3. My prefered solution, use JS to capture current logged in user details and populate that field with logged user details.

Is this happening (well, not happening, as the case may be) before the record is saved? It wouldn't have a Modified By user yet if not saved.
