Stop Users Accessing "Advanced Settings"

Posted on by 5

Hello Everyone

I'd be very grateful if someone can help me to stop users from accessing "Advanced Settings".

Ideally the solution will be role specific. I've spent most of the day scouring the Internet for answers but nothing I've tried has helped. Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks, Andy

Thanks for responding Necdet. We got so fed up with this and a number of other issues we moved to a different platform.

Did you find a way to remove "Advanced settings" option for users?

Hi Carlo and thanks for responding. The security roles I have are locked down so the users can't do any damage, it's just an unnecessary distraction that I'd rather avoid.  E.g. the users can see security roles which adds no value. Regards, Andy

    Hi

I'm afraid there is no supported way to perform this, as every user is able to open the advanced settings.

What you can do is to control what they see in the advanced settings page, and this depends on the privileges of each security role, if the user doesn´t have read privileges on that entity they are not going to see that option even though they can access advanced settings.
