Purchase Order Putaway - Want the option for the user to select the location

Hi all,

Currently trying to setup the purchase order receive process within D365, and I've come across an issue. Before I start explaining the issue, I will highlight the requirement below:

  • To be able to receive the purchase order and then allow the warehouse worker to select the location for putaway

With this being said, receiving is fine. However, the purchase order putaway ALWAYS picks the first location in the warehouse. The ideal situation here is that upon the putaway, the mobile device will prompt the user with a field to scan in a location.

I have tried the following:

  • Location directive action edit query with Location and a blank field
  • Location directive action with multi sku enabled/disabled (with/without above edit query)
  • PO Putaway Menu Item with/without display disposition code
  • No location directive action specified (this resulted in item allocation error)

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello

Trying adding a location number that does not exist in location directive action edit query.

In the location directive failure make sure that you don't have a record for purchase order so that the work is created even when the location directive fails.

this will create work with empty put location and user will be able to input a location on the mobile device.
